Wine:30 is a monthly event of the Seattle/Black Feminist Library that is hosted within the community and takes place on the second Saturday of each month, from noon-3pm.
For Black History Month, we’re playing Black feminist BINGO!! We’ll be highlighting some of our Black feminist Sheores from history, while exploring other ways they greatly contributed to societies. Of course, we’ll be giving out Black feminist prizes – because you can’t play Black feminist BINGO without giving out Black feminist prizes!

Wine:30 is based solely on ideas of Black feminism and Black feminist theories, and introduces you to, or furthers your understanding or overall appreciation of, Black feminism, through a new activity that is introduced each month that draws on your creativity and can include games, films, and arts and crafts. This means that all of our activities center Black feminist perspectives while having fun, meeting new people, and connecting with others who share similar interests — including sipping wine in the afternoon.
There is no artistic experience, special training or skills needed to participate. Wine:30 sessions are guided and instructed, and all material and supplies are provided – you take what you make.
Wine:30 is open to all! Each participant will receive entry and 2 tickets, good for a total of 2 glasses of wine. Wine:30 will also have light snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
Payments must be made in advance in order to reserve your spot. Your name will be added to the list and, afterward, all you need to do is show up! You may also pay in cash at the door, but space and materials are both limited, and is on a first-come, first-served basis and waiting offers no guarantee that you will be able to participate.
Must be 21 years of age or older to drink!
