Wine:30 Art on My Mind – Easeling bell hooks

This event has been postponed to April 15th!

For March, we’re celebrating none other than the amazing author, professor, feminist, and critical thinker, bell hooks by creating a trio of mini easels with canvas painting & mixed media designs. Each easel is hand-crafted and canvases each measures 3″ by 3″ (Image coming soon!)

Wine:30 is a monthly event of the Seattle/Black Feminist Library that is hosted within the community and takes place on the second Saturday of each month, from noon-3pm. Our gatherings are based solely on ideas of Black feminism and Black feminist theories, and introduces you to, or furthers your understanding and overall appreciation of, Black feminism, through a new activity that is introduced each month. These can include games, films, and arts and crafts. This means that all of our activities center Black feminist perspectives while having fun, meeting new people, and connecting with others who share similar interests — including sipping wine in the afternoon.

There is no artistic experience, special training or skills needed to participate. Sessions are guided and instructed, and all material and supplies are provided – you take what you make.

Wine:30 is open to all. Each participant will receive entry and 2 tickets, good for a total of 2 glasses of wine. Wine:30 will also have light snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

All ages welcome to learn & create. Must be 21 or older to drink!
