Wine:30 is a monthly event of the S/BFL that is hosted within the community and takes place on the second Saturday of each month, from noon-3pm.

Wine:30 is based solely on ideas of Black feminism and Black feminist theories, and introduces you to, or furthers your understanding or overall appreciation of, Black feminism, through a new activity that is introduced each month that draws on your creativity and can include games, films, and arts and crafts. This means that all of our activities center Black feminist perspectives while having fun, meeting new people, and connecting with others who share similar interests — including sipping wine in the afternoon.

There is no artistic experience, special training or skills needed to participate. Wine:30 sessions are guided and instructed, and all material and supplies are provided – you take what you make.

Wine:30 is open to all! The cost of each gathering ranges from $25 to $45 per person. Each participant will receive entry and 2 tickets, good for a total of 2 glasses of wine. Wine:30 will also have light snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

Payments must be made in advance in order to reserve your spot. Your name will be added to the list and, afterward, all you need to do is show up! You may also pay in cash the day of, but space and materials are both limited, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Waiting offers no guarantee that you will be able to participate.

Visually-impaired participants are encouraged to attend. We will make our best effort to accommodate you and assist you in creating and participating.

All ages welcome to learn & create. Must be 21 or older to drink!
